2nd REFSALA (Regional Federation of South Asian
Library Associations) meeting was held on 7th October 2010 during the SLLA
Golden Jubilee Conference in Colombo. President/IFLA, Presidents in Library
Associations in Nepal, India, Pakistan, Maldives and Sri Lanka attended the
meeting with a Council member of Bangladesh Library Association. Sri Lanka was
unanimously elected as the chair of REFSALA for the next three year (2010-2013)
period. A new short term and long term plans for the forum was discussed and
agreed upon.
